Reflection
of developing lesson with technology
According to chapter overview “ How teachers plan, deliver,
and assess lesson that engage students and teacher academic content while integrating
into all aspect of lesson development”. I agree with this sentence, integrate
technology to develop lesson can increase the technological skills of teachers to
know the educational concepts and help the teacher to change the old ways of teaching.
So, when the teacher change his method to become convoy of these days by using technology.
In other hand, it could be that teachers are able to use technology, but
sometimes they have a weak plan in teaching and this is not helpful in terms of
students because that will distract students and the objectives of the activity
won’t be in clear vision for students. Nowadays, education have changed from a
lecture or assess and evaluates students because the improving of lessons and
the use of technology.
Teachers should be aware of developing lessons to create
design and decision-making involve three elements to teach and technology supports
each one of these elements in teaching:
- Academic content (what to teach) the teachers to be taught
a lesson in the framework of the curriculum and integrates the internet to
learn new way of teaching.
-Teaching goals, method, and procedures (How to teach).
- Learning assessments (Knowing what students have learned).
The goals of the teachers that provide learning for management
and effective lessons in three planning lessons: learning objective shows the
emphasize outcome of students learning object to assessment the information and
skills of the students capable of use in school.
Planning understand design (backward design) the teacher set
her goals of the curriculum before choosing instructed methods. .in the chapter
there are backward design that include three element for improving the
curriculum. .
Using technology in lesson planning I agree with this point
strongly because the using internet to plan lesson helps the teacher to find information from
around the world in short time and it provides
more than one way to teach.
I think using technology to make decision about meeting
educational students in lesson plan is very useful to keep lesson in the
curriculum framework of national, stat, and local curriculum. To be honest, it
was little confused to understand the national curriculum standard, maybe it is
quite different of Saudi standards.
How can teacher assess and evaluate
students? This question contains a lot of information and through the chapter
we can answer this question there are three facts that affect the teacher’s
thinking when they assess and evaluate.
- The
teachers Evaluate in traditional way.
- Standardized
testing it helps to know the teacher’s ability to education. I have learned
through this part of the chapter that the assessment is done in the end of the
lesson and teacher assess students’ knowledge in a particular time in
particular subject and evaluate the performance of the student in the classroom
.moreover, to evaluate students’ knowledge we use multiple forms of evaluate
data with national or state or local curriculum test. In other hand evaluate performance will assess
students activates and the assess test be in learning. The performance rubrics
assess student work to know what we want from student to do in class or doing
them homework.
In my opinion, technology save from lost time
and effort for teachers to evaluate the students .Also, it helped the teacher
to know the strength and weaknesses of each student to improve their
performances.
